NESAR's Mission

NESAR's mission is to provide "professional" Search and Rescue assistance, free of charge, to local, county, state and federal agencies during missing person searches and disaster related emergencies.  A multi-faceted agency, NESAR offers many types of Search and Rescue support, including Search Management and Overhead Staff; K-9 Teams for Air-Scenting, Man-Tracking, Water, Cadaver and Disaster Emergencies; Ground Search Grid Teams; ATV, Mountain Bike and Mounted Teams (equine); and a Communications Support Group with both commercial and amateur communications systems.  NESAR is also equipped with a Mobile Command Post and "Quick Response Trailer" (QRT-1) for rapid deployment when an emergency occurs.
